Leah’s Journey
Where My Obsession Truly Began
Texas is where my plant problem officially started. I became completely obsessed, devouring care videos to figure out how to keep them alive. To my surprise, I found my green thumb! When my collection outgrew our budget, I started selling plants just to fund my habit.
Back to My Local Roots
After shipping rare plants to every state and welcoming two more kids, I felt a strong pull to step back and return to my Reno roots. I spent my youth loving our local midtown shops, and I wanted to bring that same homegrown energy back into my work and my family’s life.
Reno Roots and Creative Beginnings
I grew up right here in Reno, later earning a degree in visual communications and working as a freelance graphic designer. After marrying my husband and welcoming our first baby, his job took our growing family out to North Dallas.
Importing Rare Finds and Traveling to Thailand
A deep dive into rare collector plants led me to start importing from Thailand. Eventually, I took the leap and traveled there four times over two years to source them directly. Seeing these vibrant species thriving in their natural outdoor environments completely changed how I understood plant care.
Living the Dream
An acquaintance asked if I could design and care for an office space, and I jumped at the chance. Today, creating natural, stress-reducing sanctuaries for local residents and businesses is an absolute dream. I love sharing this passion with people who appreciate it, so let’s connect and start your indoor jungle!
